In his first Golden Globe nomination, the actor Evan Peters was awarded the prestigious gold statuette last Tuesday, January 10, during the 80th awards ceremony, where he was chosen as the best actor in a miniseries for his role as Jeffrey Dahmer in Netflix’s ‘Monster’, for which he is been criticized on social media.

It’s no secret that behind the production of ‘Damer’, the success Netflix miniseries Created by Ryan Murphy, there was a lot of controversy due to the strong storyline based on the life of one of the most famous serial killers in history and this new award for Evan Peters has once again ignited the controversy.

In his acceptance speech, Evan Peters thanked his family and friends, as well as the production team of ‘Dahmer’, however he didn’t take the time to talk about the killer’s victims and this was emphasized on social media by some users assuring that he should have had the consideration of doing so.

“I find it amusing how Evan Peters thanked viewers, Netflix and HFP for his award but failed to acknowledge JD victims and the families of the victims who have not been compensated/credited for their stories,” she wrote. @bIackcello.

For her part, popular podcaster Sophie Ross said on Twitter, “Don’t delete me, but I think some sort of victim acknowledgment was the least Evan Peters could have done during his acceptance speech” making it clear that it sounded wrong on his part of the actor is not attentive to the victims after the scandals caused by the miniseries of Netflix.

Particularly not all comments on Evan Peters’ award were negativeas his fans are delighted that he has been awarded this accolade for his work in the Netflix miniseries and many have even come to his defense in this type of publication pointing him.

Mom of a Dahmer victim teases Evan Peters

In interview for tmz extension, Shirley Hughes even the mother of Tony Hughes, one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims, criticized the award Evan Peters was awarded, and regarding his speech, especially where he says he hopes something good will come out of the miniseries, did not say nothing Well I could get out of it.
