‘The Drop’ cast ‘went through a lot’ behind the scenes: Made film ‘funnier’ (Exclusive)

A trip to a tropical island resort for a friend’s wedding goes awry when Lex, played by Anna KonkleAccidentally drops her friend’s baby in front of everyone in Hulu’s new original movie The fall. The shocking moment causes much embarrassment among the friends during their stay. hollywood life spoke EXCLUSIVELY with jillian bell, Jermaine Fowlerand more from the cast on the film.

“I loved where it came from and I loved the passion behind it. Joseph [Leonard] Y Will be [Adina Smith]Jillian told H.ollywood life. “I felt very comfortable with them and felt free to create this character and understand him. He was so wild. I was thrilled with the trip.”

The fall It has an incredible cast. writer and protagonist Joshua Leonardo revealed that he “just dreamed of getting the cast that we finally got for this movie. We have been so profoundly fortunate.”

Aparna Nancherla Y jennifer lafleur plays the couple whose child is dropped in the film. Jennifer noted that Joshua and Sarah, the film’s writers, actually “approached me while I was pregnant because they wrote this role for me and my unborn child. I hadn’t given birth yet and they were already trying to leave my son.”

Aparna admits that her character, Mia, is unlike any she’s played before: “a lesbian mom, a new-grown mom, veering towards gun ownership and possibly more right-wing views. I just think there were so many fun elements to think about for this character, and I think she’s kind of a wild card and that was really fun.”

No children were harmed during production. The fall, but there was food poisoning during production in Mexico. Jennifer revealed that everyone got food poisoning and production had to shut down. After getting food poisoning, Jennifer almost drops her baby.

“I was walking up the steps carrying my little boy going to the van and I passed out,” Jennifer said. “I remember coming down and knowing what was going on, wrapping my body and trying to roll onto my back as I passed out. He was fine. It felt like a special kind of irony that a movie about abandoning a child on the last day of shooting… I didn’t drop it, but a lot.

Jermaine added that the cast were “going through a lot behind the scenes. Jillian, your room was infested with fire ants. She was bitten one night and she still had to come on set and do her own thing. That made a lot of the funnier scenes because we also knew what was going on between us.” The fall now streaming on Hulu.
