‘Yellowjackets’: Elijah Wood reunites with Christina Ricci in season 2 trailer

Virtually without seeing it arrive, ‘Yellowjackets’ became one of the great TV successes of 2022. At first glance, Showtime’s original series, which premiered in Spain by Movistar Plus+, offered nothing new, with a premise that was inevitably reminiscent of ‘ Lord of the Flies’ and ‘Lost’. When a year has passed since the end of the first season, we already know when we will be able to see the second. One of the big news of the second season is the incorporation into the cast as a guest actor of Elijah Wood, who will play a detective named Walter in several episodes. It’s the latest addition to a series set in the 1990s and hasn’t stopped paying homage to that decade, not only with its setting, but also with its casting, which includes performers such as Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis and Melanie Lynskey . . “Yellow jacket” supposed Ricci and Wood’s reunion 25 years after they met as teenagers in Ang Lee’s “The Ice Storm.” .

For now, no more information is known about the plot of the second season, although with this first preview it is clear that we have not yet reached the darkest recesses of the story. In addition to Elijah Wood, the second season of ‘Yellowjackets’ sees the signing of another interpreter who became famous in the 90s.
