The X-Men characters will one day make their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has been slowly building up the entire mutant look of the universe, and the way they’re doing it has made many fans roll their eyes. But what we’ve all been waiting for is to see the return of some of the major X-Men characters.
Vice President of Production and Development at Marvel Studios Nate Moore offered a little update on what’s going on while appearing on Deadline’s Crew Call podcast.
When asked about any upcoming projects he might be excited about, whether there are any superheroes he would like to bring to the screen, Moore opened up about the X-Men saying, “It’s no secret that the X-Men are coming home, if you talk about Storm and Bishop, are two of that franchise’s great characters, he later noted that they were still in the “early, early days” of development on this one.
At the moment, there’s no information on exactly what Marvel is planning. The only thing we know for sure that is related to the X-Men is Deadpool 3which will bring back Ryan Reynolds like Deadpool and Hugh Jackman like Wolverine.
There was also the introduction of Patrick StewartThere is Professor X inside Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessbut it was short-lived.
Ultimately, I think it will be years before Marvel does anything with the core X-Men roster. We’ll just have to be patient.
