‘The Last of Us’ is the story of Joel and Ellie, the characters of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. But it is also the story of those with whom they share moments on their journey westward. One of them is Tommy, Joel’s brother, who is played by Gabriel Luna in the HBO series.. The Texan, who we saw as Ghost Rider in ‘SHIELD Agents’, puts himself in the shoes of a character he describes as “a young Kris Kristofferson”country singer, actor and war veteran, as he explained in a conversation we had with him recently.
Gabriel Luna’s Tommy will focus more on his past in the military to explain a little better why there was a time when he was part of the Fireflies, the terrorist liberation group against the military regime in the series, and why he I decided to leave. “Tommy is a man who has seen and been in war, a soldier who has come out of war with another perspective on violence and when to use it. Tommy is good with violence, but he chose not to use it, he chose to live when there is nothing around him but death.. She has a very strong personality, his spirit has not faded. It’s something I love about the character and I’ve tried to convey with my performance.”Explain.
The more clownish side of Pedro Pascal
While Joel, Pedro Pascal’s character, has become an unscrupulous mercenary in this civilization confined to quarantine zones to escape the infected, Tommy has set off in search of a future with a little more hope. “Joel is a rock and I am the water, and sometimes we collide” says Luna, who has nothing but good words for her brother in fiction: “Pedro Pascal is a very talented actor”. Thanks to him, she says, she had a much more relaxed filming experience, something that with a story as intense as ‘The Last of Us’ certainly came in handy: “I really admire his ability to joke and be so funny between takes, but be ready when it’s time to shoot.. Sometimes I’m too serious at work and get lost, but all of that goes to hell when you’re working with someone so funny. It came in handy, we needed it because we recorded very intense situations. You have to allow yourself to breathe and relax.”.

The moon is described as “very player” and of course he’s a fan of the two Naughty Dog video games. He tells us Sony gave him a PlayStation 5 so he could play the remake, which he considers “exquisite”. As a fan, he is delighted with the possibilities offered by the conversion to the series: “The beauty of this format and being able to tell this story ten years later is being able to explore every nook and cranny of the plot and characters that we’ve only heard of but never seen.”. He anticipates it “the characters grow far beyond what we already know about them from the games”and in Tommy’s case he says: “You’ll find out why, why (Joel) is looking for me. I myself, who played the games, wanted to know what happened”.
‘The Last of Us’ begins its broadcast on HBO Max Monday 16 January.
