The new leadership of the DC Universe has called everything into question. Ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran teamed up as heads of Warner Bros. Discovery’s new superhero stage, everything has changed, with one notable exception: everything related to Batman. Gunn, prone to announcing/deniing numerous issues via social media, He denied that they were exploring the possibility of merging Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s Batman with their plans for the next decade, but didn’t specify more..

So we understand that right now Warner has a DC universe and a Batman universe that are being developed independently, mostly because Reeves himself, leader of Gotham City’s new masked man, continues to work on Pattinson’s next thing and Colin Farrell-starring spinoff series. At least so says Collider, clinging to claims so ambiguous they’re like taking with tweezers.
The question of the aforementioned North American medium is broad and vague, a ‘will you make a film this year?’ very little concrete to draw so many conclusions, but said website is clear: Reeves talks about ‘The Batman 2’. “We are working on a film. Mattson Tomlin and I have fully focused and are writing [el guion]. I’m very excited about what we’re doing.”
Things get a little more texture when Reeves finally mentions Pattinson assuring that he is “very excited to work with Robbecause I think he is a very special person and actor”which insinuates more directly that yes, Reeves would have already worked on the sequel to “The Batman” and that heThis director’s plans would not be affected by the new leadership (at least for now).
Also “The Penguin”
In the end, Matt Reeves ended up revealing something more about that future he’s plotting for his Batman, a comic book future that spans connect the small and the big screen. “Actually, there’s a whole tapestry of things we want to do, and the way we’re developing ‘The Penguin’ deals with how it will lead us towards the sequel and what that second installment will be like”. Also, this director adds that aforementioned spin-off series start rolling “very very soon” which is also “super exciting”.
