During a recent interview, Nicolas Cage was asked to join the possibility of Star Wars Universe because his The unbearable weight of a huge talent co-star Peter Pascal he said he wanted to recruit him to that franchise. Cage responded with a surprising response.

Cage is not interested in joining the Star Wars franchise because it’s a big one Star Trek guy! She said, “No is the answer. I’m not really down. I’m a Trekkie, man, I’m on the Enterprise. That’s where I roll.”

Cage went on to say, “I grew up watching Shatner, I thought Pine was great in movies. I think the movies are great.” He then explained why he appreciates the Star Trek franchise:

“I like the political, the sociological — to me, what science fiction really is and why it’s such an important genre is that it’s really where you can really say what you want, however you feel, you put it on a different planet, you put it in a different time or in the future and you can, without people jumping all over you. You can really express your thoughts like Orwell in the sci-fi format and Star Trek has really embraced that. serious stuff.”

Cage then clarified that you won’t see him in a Star Wars project, saying, “I’m not in the Star Wars family, I’m in the Star Trek family.”

I love that he’s so passionate Star Trek! There are many people out there like me who are huge fans of both franchises! It would be really hard for me to pick just one because I grew up with both in my life. I’ve definitely been exposed to more Star Trek content over the years, however, due to all the TV shows and movies that were released as they grew up. But those three original Star Wars films always stuck with me and that’s where my imagination went.

Now back to that age-old question… Star Wars or Star Trek!? But, I’ll have to go with Star Wars because it has always been more magical to me. What you choose?
