‘Stranger Things’: The main cast will make more money than ever in season 5

‘Stranger Things’ will conclude with the fifth season, which does not yet have a release date but will undoubtedly be an end in a big way. This also translates into the staggering increase in the salaries of leading actors and actressesas revealed by a Puck News report.

‘Stranger Things’: The main cast will make more money than ever in season 5

To negotiate salaries, Netflix executives would have decided to divide the cast into four categories. In the first category, with a salary of 9.5 million dollars, we find Winona Ryder and David Harbour, present since the first season. In the second, with little more than 7 million dollars, there are the younger leads, which includes the original quartet of friends (Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin) and Sadie Sink, who despite joining the cast later assumed enormous plot importance in the fourth season. The third category includes older teenagers, such as Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, who will receive a little more 6 million dollars. The rest of the cast falls into the fourth category, whose salary is, how could it be otherwise, “much less”.

Don’t worry you won’t see the star of the series in any of the higher categories, because Millie Bobby Brown has her own business “ridiculously profitable” with Netflixstarring in both the Duffer Brothers series and the ‘Enola Holmes’ films and soon alongside an equally stellar cast in ‘The Electric State,’ directed by the Russo brothers.

a giant leap

Not even the Duffer brothers could have predicted the huge success their series would have when it launched in 2016. The first season had completely different salaries than the cast manages now: lead actors started with $25,000 per episode, which is a total of $200,000 for the first season. Now success only grows. In Season 3, Netflix’s now top tier Ryder and Harbor earned $350,000 per episode, or $2.9 million for the entire season. Two seasons later, they tripled that number.

The first four seasons of ‘Stranger Things’ are available on Netflix.
