‘Arrow’, a series starring Stephen Amell, said goodbye to his career in early 2020 after 8 seasons, but that doesn’t mean the said actor is staying true to his character. He proved it this week by agreeing to participate in the final season of “The Flash”, sister series of the Arrowverse. Following this announcement, Amell posted a photo on her Instagram account of her in which she poses with Grant Gustin and assures that “when Barry calls, Oliver answers”.

“Why? It doesn’t matter. How? It doesn’t matter. I’m honored to be back for the final season of ‘The Flash'”he now says in the text accompanying his video reacting to the good news. Fans’ doubts are understandable given the tragic outcome Oliver will face in the final season of ‘Arrow’, a tough farewell that didn’t end well for Green Arrow during the Arrowverse mega crossover titled ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’.
“I’m back for the ninth and final season of ‘The Flash’. Why? It doesn’t matter. How? It doesn’t matter. Greg Berlanti [líder del Arrowverso y creador de ‘The Flash’] He called me and said: “The Flash” is about to end. Would you like…’, and I said: ‘Yup! You don’t even have to finish the sentence’. I’ve always, always loved reprising my role as Oliver Queen, Green Arrow, Spectre, a Nazi, Flash, whatever, on ‘The Flash’. I love the cast. I love the team. So thank you Greg Berlanti, Eric Wallace [showrunner]Grant [Gustin] and Candice [Patton]and Daniel [Panabaker], who is attached to direct the episode. And to the rest of the cast, thank you for hosting me. And don’t ask me any more bloody questions about it! Just don’t miss it when it airs later this year.”.

Farewell in style
Stephen Amell Returns in Episode 9 of Unusually Short Final Season of ‘The Flash’. And is that after a juicy raise, the star of the show, Grant Gustin, has agreed to only sign on for up to 15 episodes that will be loaded with returns. Not only will Amell make an appearance in what is considered the definitive farewell to the Arrowverse (despite the fact that “Superman & Lois” will continue to air), but we will also see David Ramsey, Keiynan Lonsdale, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Javicia Leslie and Nicole Maines.
