Aaron Taylor Johnson (Kick ass, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, High speed train) reported having met James Bond franchised manufacturer Barbara Broccoliand according to Matthew Belloni of Puck News, “the meeting went well”.
I assume this means that Taylor-Johnson is up for the role of James Bond, he’s at least one of the main contenders on a roster of actors the production team is eyeing.
Broccoli has previously shared that they are looking for a younger British actor to play Bond, one who isn’t already a huge megastar. Taylor-Johnson definitely seems to fit what they’re looking for, and I think he’d be great as Bond! I like Taylor-Johnson and he could totally pull it off!
There have already been rumors of Taylor-Johnson hanging around for the role and when the former 007 actor Daniel Craig was asked about those rumors during an interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, he said, ‘I don’t really pay attention to it. It’s just that there’s a lot of noise. it’s called… it is what it is.” So when asked how much fun watching the next Bond will be, Craig replied, “Yeah, sure. I’ll be front and center.”
The actor has two big film projects coming up with Sony’s Marvel film in which he will play Kraven the hunter and The fallen boy. What do you think about the possibility that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the next James Bond?
