In recent weeks, many rumors have surfaced about what could be the biggest event in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman have been the most talked about about their return, and now Nicolas Cage joins the list, with an appearance as the Ghost Rider in the sixth Avengers film.
According to insider information EmberOnCulture, who leaked the costumes of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in ‘Spiderman: No Wayu Home’ in the past, assures that Nicolas Cage will return as Ghost Rider at some point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The idea doesn’t sound so farfetched, if we take into account that, thanks to the Multiverse, other heroes who now belong to Disney will make their appearance in the MCU such as the X-Men or the Fantastic 4.
The FandomWire medium ensures that the restart of Ghost Rider at Marvel could take a long timeHowever, that wouldn’t stop Nicolas Cage from returning to the role of Johnny Blaze. Though, if anything, he has plenty of competition ahead of him, since Dracula, Mephisto, and even Magik are postulated as the big demons that could appear at any moment in the MCU.
Fans believe the return of Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider could be traded ‘Secret Wars’, as it’s the biggest event coming up to the MCU, where Marvel Studios is trying to bring together the highest possible stars that have come through the company, from Sony or FOX, to bring them back into what would be the biggest crossover ever to hit the screen.

The problem of Nicolas Cage’s return to Marvel
This all sounds very promising on paper, however, there is one major problem with Nicolas Cage’s return as the Ghost Rider, and that is that the rights to Ghost Rider currently belong to Sony and Marvel had no involvement in the film. Therefore, the only way to use the character is through a multiversal event, which is why it is believed that “Secret Wars” could be the right time.
As happened with ‘Avengers: Endgame’, Secret Wars is expected to bring together, for the first time on screen, all the actors and actresses who have ever brought a character to life in the company. Also, Kevin Feige is believed to be a huge fan of Ghost Rider, so his presence in the film could be of great importance for the development of the plot.
So far, the only thing that is known about “Avengers: Secret Wars” is that it will have Kang, the enemy played by Jonathan Majors during the events of “Loki”, as the biggest villain in the history of the MCU. As the biggest cinematic event in recent years, ‘Avengers 6’ still has a long way to go until it opens on May 1, 2026.
