Rumors of a sequel to Solo: A Star Wars Story have been in a whirl since the film hit theaters in 2018. The writers of the film Jonathan Kasdan and Lorenzo Kasdan they talked, even just two weeks ago, about the idea of a sequel film, but the director of the film, RonHowardit’s officially shutting down those entries.

In a recent interview with NME, Howard explained:
“The only discussion I know of about a sequel for Solo it comes from the fans at this point. I don’t think it’s a Lucasfilm priority, as I understand it.
While this was pretty harsh, he went on to add:
But there are some great characters thrown in, and the folks at Lucasfilm love the fans and really listen, so I’d never say never, but I’m not aware of any concrete plans at this time to extend the story or address that particular set of characters. .”
So it’s concrete for now, but hopeful for the future. I thought Solo it was a fun movie, and I wouldn’t mind seeing the cast and crew again to make another one. And you? Are you hoping for another Solo film or would you rather see other stories explored?
