On December 29, the sixth episode of the second season of the new ‘Gossip Girl’ arrived on HBO Max. The series starring the richest and most ideal teenagers of Manhattan has so far got rid of the scythe of David Zaslav. For those who remain faithful to the adventures of Julien (Jordan Alexander), Zoya (Whitney Peak) and the others, the chapter titled “Games, Trains and Cars” came with an important ghost from the past: Georgina Sparks.
The character of Michelle Trachtenberg, who caused many mischief in the original series, returns with a great desire to wreak havoc. She does this by revealing to Kate (Tavi Gevinson) who she knows she is behind Gossip Girl and she believes she is wasting the Gossip Queen’s true potential.
The family grows
But Georgina comes back with a bigger bang. With her and Kate we sneak into the luxurious apartment of Serena and Dan, the characters of Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, whose cameo extends to a series of photos on a piece of furniture. At least we know they are still together after all these years and have a baby! Georgina explains to Kate that she has been causing them mischief in the shadows for a long time: “This is Dan and Serena’s house. They fired their employees when they thought someone was breaking into their house. At first they thought it was the doorman, but they ended up putting cameras everywhere. I asked my son to put a “Looped image, so now they’ve called a paranormal expert. They have no idea I’m their poltergeist. I’ve been doing this for about five or six years. At first it was just minor annoyances: take a socks or two, turn off the heat . But I ended up wanting a little more entertainment, like swapping oat milk for whole milk. Their son is lactose intolerant. They’ve been to every specialist possible and nobody knows what happened to him.”.
Michelle Trachtenberg is back in “Gossip Girl” to stay, and she wants to ruin the lives of everyone she meets. The seventh episode of the series will premiere on HBO Max on January 5th..
