Summary of “Yellowstone”: Jamie and Beth go to war and take dangerous paths

The mid-season finale of yellow stone Season 5 opens with Rip and Lloyd disposing of Rowdy’s body while John waits in the car. On the way back, John asks Rip what Rowdy said about his daughter. Rip initially doesn’t want to say anything, but later confirms that it was something sexual. “Why does she bother you?” John asks.

John demands to know if anything is going on between Rip and Beth. Rip doesn’t say a word, but his face gives it away. “It definitely makes things a lot clearer,” John says. As the two sit by the fire, John talks with Rip about how he’s going to have to give up everything for the ranch. “You will have a home until the day you die. Or when this ranch is gone,” John says.

John points out that the ranch is worth fighting for and offers Rip a choice. “I didn’t know I had a choice,” Rip says. Choose the ranch and mark it.

Currently, Jimmy still works at 6666 Ranch and lives a happy life with Emily. You will see your friends from Yellowstone. very soon.

Before heading to Helena, John shares another quiet moment with Monica. She thanks him for her words after her son’s death. “He has helped me more than you can imagine,” says Monica. John has a large order for Monica while she is away. He asks her to help run the ranch while he is governor and Rip is in Texas. There is a ranch near the reservation that needs work. “The ranch can’t be a Tate day if the ranch isn’t here,” she says. Monica tells John she and Kayce can help.

Jamie prepares to make his big move while John is gone. He calls an emergency meeting of the assembly due to John’s “gross negligence”. He tells the assembly that John has violated state law and exposed the state to litigation. Jamie continues to criticize John and calls for a Senate court to seek impeachment.

When news of Jamie’s latest cheating breaks, the press begins hounding John at his event. John quickly says a few words and walks away. Back at the ranch, Summer shows Beth the video of Jamie’s call to accuse John. The anger is crystal clear in her eyes.

Before leaving for Texas, Beth gives Rip a handkerchief with her perfume on it. She says she will fly to see him in a week. And with that, Rip and most of the shack head south. Beth stops by Jamie’s house to confront him about his latest assassination attempt. She is in bed with Sarah. Beth refuses to leave and breaks a window to get inside. There is a little fight between them, but Jamie is the only one who is bleeding.

She urges him to resign tomorrow or she will post pictures of him disposing of his father’s body. Jamie tells him that if he exposes him, he will also expose John. He reveals to Beth that “a century” of their family secrets lie at the bottom of the gorge where all the bodies are dumped. Beth had no idea.

Jamie tells him he doesn’t know the true cost of protecting the ranch. “The biggest threat to that ranch is our father,” Jamie says. He says he will end the threat. Sarah goes downstairs to make her request.

“Okay, so it’s war,” Beth says. Jamie believes the war is over. “No, Jamie. The war has just begun,” she tells him.

Beth goes straight to the Governor’s Mansion to confront John about the “train station”. She says Jamie knows. John knows it well. “He will use everything he knows to destroy you. It was clear,” Beth says.

Beth thinks it’s time to get rid of Jamie. She asks John what she thinks. They talk quietly from across the room about what’s coming next. Meanwhile, Jamie and Sarah are having an equally dangerous conversation. She asks to hire someone to kill Beth. He wants to meet the people Sarah mentioned. She tells him she will take care of it. They talk about hurting Beth, but it might not be a direct hit to her.

Monica explains the situation at East Camp to him. She wants to make sure this is what she really wants. She’s tired of renting a house and looking at a daycare that isn’t full. The East Camp home would be theirs and they could start over. The next chapter of Monica, Kayce and Tate begins at the ranch.
