AMC Entertainment has reorganized its board of directors, announcing the election of two new board members and one to resign.
Keri Putman, former executive director of the Sundance Institute and director of production at Miramax, Keri Putman, a strong advocate of independent film, and Dee Clark, who has worked in information technology at Hasbro, Mattel, Warner Music and Apple, will join 1 January take office as directors. a one-year term with re-election in 2023. Silver Lake’s Lee Wittlinger, a member of the Board since 2018, will retire as usual after the Company exits its interest in the Company in January 2021.
“With the appointments of Ms. Clark and Ms. Putnam, and the departure of Mr. Wittlinger, AMC has made significant progress toward achieving its diversity goals,” the company said. Three of AMC’s nine directors will be women, compared to one in eight currently.
Putnam founded and operates Putnam Pictures to produce films and television programs from creators with a strong and adventurous vision. Before that, from 2010 to 2021, she was CEO of the Sundance Institute, which administers the Sundance Film Festival. Previously, she was executive producer at Miramax Films.
Dee Clark, who has also worked for Estée Lauder and MCI Systemhouse, has served as an independent director for United Natural Foods for the past 10 years. She previously served on the boards of Six Flags Entertainment and Caesars Entertainment, as well as the National AIDS Fund Board of Trustees, the SAP Consumer Products Advisory Council and the Women in Technology Institute.
