JJ Watt holds 2-month-old son Koa on football field as he announces his retirement: Photo



JJ Watts He may be one of football’s greats, but the star is finally hanging up his helmet. The Arizona Cardinals defensive end, 33, appeared to be announcing the retirement of him for tweet a sweet family photo and a heartwarming message to his fans and team on December 27, 2022.

In his tweet, JJ posed on the court with his wife. kealia ohai and her two-month-old son Koa. The baby was swaddled in red, with tiny ear flaps, while the mother looked beautiful in a mint jacket. Dad was ready to play, sporting a sleeveless Nike top and cap before his game against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The game was a bittersweet occasion, as JJ shared in his post. “Koa’s first NFL game,” he wrote. “My last NFL home game. My heart is filled with only love and gratitude. It was a real honor and a real pleasure.”

His wife retweeted the announcement, calling it “the greatest yet.” “I am very proud to be your wife,” she continued. Kealia also shared her love on Instagram, posting, “You are the best. I love you” in the comment section.

Despite it being a special occasion, the Cardinals lost 16-19 to the Bucs. With two games left in the regular season and a 4-11 record, they will not advance to the playoffs.

JJ began his career with the Houston Texans as the 11th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He played with the team for 10 seasons before moving to Arizona where he played the last two seasons. Lui signed a two-year, $11 million deal with the team after the 2021 season, for United States today🇧🇷

Though the star never got the chance to compete in the Super Bowl, JJ remains one of the most respected players of his era. He has been named Defensive Player of the Year three times, earning the honor in 2012, 2014 and 2015. JJ has also made the Pro Bowl five times.
