US President Donald Trump said the European Union may transfer fighter jets purchased from the United States to Ukraine. Trump made the comments during an interview with television host Ellin Root that was published on YouTube.
Trump said the United States sells ammunition and fighter jets to the European Union, and European nations can do whatever they want with them, such as transferring them to Ukraine. He noted that European countries pay full cost for the weapons.
Military aid funding
Trump previously stated that the United States faced a shortage of weapons because of military assistance sent to Ukraine during the presidency of Joe Biden. He emphasized that he continues to provide military aid to Kyiv, but does so using money from the European Union.
