A Corendon Airlines passenger aircraft carrying 160 Russian travelers made an emergency landing in Kayseri, Turkey, on September 1 after suffering an engine failure during its flight.
The plane had taken off from the Russian city of Ufa and was traveling to the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya when the mechanical issue occurred, according to a report by the Telegram news channel Shot.
After discovering the engine failure, the captain of the aircraft contacted air traffic controllers to request permission for an immediate emergency diversion. Controllers authorized the landing in the central Turkish city of Kayseri. The aircraft landed safely, and no injuries were reported among the 160 passengers on board.
