Clarins launches updated Double Serum Eye anti-aging care

French cosmetics company Clarins has launched a renewed Double Serum Eye formula designed to address signs of fatigue and aging around the eyes.

The skincare company developed the updated eye treatment following seven years of research. Clarins designed the formula to target two distinct dimensions of skin aging: epigenetic aging, influenced by lifestyle and environment, and chronological aging caused by the passage of time.

According to Clarins, the eye area is one of the first parts of the face to show signs of fatigue, stress, and time. Fine lines, wrinkles, loss of skin freshness, and a tired look can visibly alter overall facial expression, prompting the need for specialized care.

Double Serum Eye represents a new chapter for the brand's signature Double Serum product line, adapting its core formula to suit the specific needs of sensitive skin around the eyes.

Plant extracts and research

At the heart of the new composition are turmeric, milk thistle, and plant-derived caffeine. These key ingredients fit into the company's botanical approach, which combines natural plant extracts with scientific research into skin aging.

Clarins stated that the combination of these plant extracts targets visible signs of aging while improving the appearance of tired eyes. The multidimensional formula focuses on maintaining a smoother, brighter, and fresher look.

The delicate skin surrounding the eyes is thinner than skin elsewhere on the face and experiences constant movement from blinking and facial expressions. Because of this sensitivity, Clarins formulated the product exclusively for eye care rather than general facial application.

Clarins, founded in Paris in 1954, is a family-owned French cosmetics company known internationally for plant-based skincare formulations. Its original Double Serum, introduced in 1985, established the brand's reputation for dual-phase anti-aging products.

Targeted anti-aging routines

The brand noted that consumer demand in skincare has evolved toward specialized formulations. Women are increasingly seeking products engineered for specific areas of the face rather than relying solely on general anti-aging creams.

Clarins reported that Double Serum Eye was created to meet this demand by positioning eye care at the center of a complete anti-aging routine.

The company emphasized that modern anti-aging skincare should not aim to transform a person's features, but rather to make the face look rested, vibrant, and naturally refreshed.

By addressing multiple signs of aging simultaneously, Clarins said the revised Double Serum Eye combines seven years of research and botanical expertise to refresh the eyes and renew facial expression.
