Another Studio 10 star shockly quits troubled daytime show after Sarah Harris quits as co-presenter of The Project: ‘I’ll miss you’

Natasha Exelby is officially done with Studio 10.

The show’s news anchor quietly left the daytime show and made the shocking announcement on Instagram.

The 34-year-old wrote: “On the last day I was reading the news about Studio 10 and my lovely little Melbourne crew spoiling me.”

She then resigned from the show’s crew members, including the hair and makeup team.

“Thank you Dan Coates, Lorie Bekiri and Shelby Rose for making a broken 5am crabby look like an 8am pleasure – and all the laughs in between – appreciate you,” she gushed.

And a special thanks to Matt Simpson for being one of the best producers in the universe. I will miss you S10. But I applaud the 2023 selection immensely.

Sarah Harris celebrated her last show before joining The Project on Friday morning.

It comes as Channel 10’s Studio 10 morning show is believed to be on its last legs after a severe drop in ratings.

The show suffered two significant losses, it lost its main presenter, Sarah Harris, and its running time was almost cut in half.

Just 30,000 viewers tuned in to see the show, which is co-hosted by Harris and Irish-born presenter Tristan MacManus.

Former Blok star Jess Eva has been a guest presenter since Sarah’s departure.

According to The Australian, the numbers are so low that “few media pundits were unduly surprised” when Studio 10’s running time was cut from three and a half hours to two hours, now starting at 10am instead of 8am.

Ratings data shows that the show faced the most competition from Today Extra and The Morning Show in its first hour, which is why it was delayed.

The program change comes after Sarah stepped down last month to replace Carrie Bickmore as host of The Project.

Meanwhile, sources say that Studio 10 is expected to adopt a different format, led by MacManus, Angela Bishop, Narelda Jacobs and Daniel Doody.

Former on-air personalities Jessica Rowe and Denise Drysdale may also return to the group for ratings boosts.

Studio 10 became one of the lowest-rated daytime programs in Australian television history, falling well behind rival programs from Seven, Nine and ABC.

It’s not the first time rumors of the show’s impending demise have surfaced, but Channel 10 has announced that it will continue to air the show until 2023.

However, it remains to be seen how long they can support Studio 10 as the audience continues to shrink.

Network executives also face the difficult financial prospect of continuing to pay Lisa Wilkinson – who recently resigned from The Project but is on a lucrative multi-year contract – until they find another role for her.
