Josie Gibson was brought to tears on Thursday’s This Morning as she discussed a recent trip to Lapland with her young son – and emotional viewers weren’t far behind.
The affable presenter co-hosted the ITV show before Christmas Day, but her signature humor was laced with emotion as she described a festive visit to snowy Finland with four-year-old Reggie.
Josie, 37, shared a short clip with viewers in which she admitted the trip to Santa’s spiritual home was a magical experience for her son, who rarely appears on her social media platforms.

The presenter, who was almost in tears when launching the clip, was given the unique opportunity to travel to Lapland with Reggie and an ITV camera crew in search of Father Christmas.
And those who tuned in had a rare chance to see Reggie as his mum took him on a reindeer sleigh ride, with the boy clearly delighted after spotting a secluded cabin in the woods – the ‘home of Santa and his family’.
Reggie also made Josie laugh when asked what he wanted for Christmas, with the boy admitting he had his heart set on a “silly sausage” and “a pig”.

Josie recently admitted to hosting her good friend and colleague Alison Hammond on Christmas Day, after the Birmingham presenter did the same last year.
The TV personality did not confirm whether son Reggie or Alison’s son Aiden, 17, would attend the celebrations at their home in Bristol.

The bubbly Big Brother winner has transitioned from a remote broadcaster to one of the show’s most popular rotating hosts, and she said Alison gave her a much-needed confidence boost.
“She gives really good advice,” she told the new magazine of her friendship with Alison, herself a former Big Brother contestant.
“Even before I hosted This Morning, if she ever went on the main show she would tell me to put me on open talkback – where you hear the whole gallery talking – to practice.
“I said, ‘I don’t want to do it,’ and she said, ‘You do. If you don’t try, you’ll never get anywhere.’
