He has recently reinvented himself as an outspoken YouTube character, spreading doubts about Covid vaccines and blaming the US for the war in Ukraine.

But Russell Brand found himself taking a break from his controversial outings as he enjoyed the outdoors by paddling near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire on Saturday.

The 46-year-old comedian donned a black vest over a gray sweater and black pants underneath during his outing with his dog Bear.

With more than 5.5 million YouTube subscribers, Russell stood out with his vibrant yellow cap while sunbathing in his canoe.

The star looked cheerful as he wore a gray beard and his dark locks and signature curls.

While enjoying the relaxing outdoor activity, Russell decided to help a cyclist cross the river by loading his bike into the boat and rowing.

The German Shepherd later returned and continued along the river near his £3.3m home, where he lived with his wife, 34, Laura Gallacher, and their five-year-old children, Mabel and three-year-old Peggy.

Russell regularly posts photos and videos of his beloved dog Bear and cats on Instagram, which he previously described as a “fur whirlwind.”

The online character also stopped to take a selfie with the two women who saw him from the riverbank.

Known for his role in Big Brother’s Big Mouth presentation, Russell left Hollywood to lead a healthy life with his family.

Russell and the wife of TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher’s younger sister, Laura, are said to have recently taken ownership of the Crown Inn, a pub in Pishill near Henley-on-Thames.

Dating back to the 16th century, the II. The grade listed inn is located in the picturesque Oxfordshire countryside and has a detached barn that can host weddings for up to 80 guests.

The couple, who got married in August 2017, found success in another company specializing in television productions.

According to company accounts, the couple shared a dividend of £1.4m in 2020.
