The singer and her mini-me took the stage to duet together during Mariah’s CBS Christmas special, Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas everyone, which aired Dec. 20, wowed the crowd in person, as well as viewers at home, with her impressive vocals on the classic Christmas song, “Away in a Manger.” During the presentation, Mimi and Monroe wore matching white dresses with silver sequins and tiaras.

Many viewers were so impressed that they even took to the comments section of the duo’s video on CBS’ Instagram to talk about the mother-daughter duo. “Monroe has a great future ahead of her, just as a mother to her. I can’t wait to see what she can do for the music industry,” wrote one fan, while another added, “THAT TALENT.” A third follower highlighted how Monroe gets her talents from her award-winning mother.” Talent runs in the family,” they commented.
In addition to Mariah and Monroe’s memorable moment in the spotlight, other celebrities and appearances in the special, which was partially filmed last week at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, received a lot of attention. Mariah’s 1994 smash hit “All I Want for Christmas is You” was heard, of course, and familiar faces like, Drew Barrymore🇧🇷 Jermaine Dupri🇧🇷 billy porter🇧🇷 rick volpinoand the Rockets Radio City, flashed on the screen. Before the special aired, a clip of Mariah and Monroe singing a duet during a concert in Toronto hit social media after an attendee posted a clip of the performance to rave reviews. “I loved the two of them singing together,” one Twitter one user wrote while another wrote, “I always knew Mariah gave birth to a singer like her.” A third shared: “She is an angel with an angel voice!!! But who would be surprised by this!!!! What luxury!!! She’s also beautiful. and a quarter called their duet “a blessing.”
Monroe’s latest Christmas appearances with her mom aren’t the only recent times she’s made headlines. The pretty girl and her twin brother Moroccan, 11, showed off her dance moves as her mom performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade last month. They were both in green gift boxes and brought a lot of energy to “All I Want for Christmas is You,” which is what Mariah sang.
They were also dressed for a party. Marocchino wore a red hoodie and black pants, while Monroe sported a white tutu with wings. He also had a tiara on his head, just like Mariah. The talented singer wore a lovely red dress during her time in the spotlight and she held up a matching umbrella as she sang for the crowd on the sidewalks.
