The star recalled the time she was invited to the 2018 Met Gala, whose theme that year was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” and she found herself wishing she hadn’t faked a tan.
“A few years ago, while we were getting ready for the Met Gala, we put on sunscreen and it looked beautiful, but as the night went on it got more and more somber,” the ‘Hands to Myself’ hitmaker explained. 🇧🇷 “When I sat down, I saw a picture of myself and it looked completely orange. And here I am at this prestigious event – my first thought was – ‘I have to get out of here!’”
Speaking of high-profile photos, Selena recently revealed her thoughts on that viral photo she snapped with Hailey Baldwin last month, which seemed to prove that there is no rift between women after Hailey married Selena’s ex. Rumors of bad blood between Selena and Hailey have been circulating since Selena broke up with Justin and Hailey married him in 2018. The flames were stoked a lot because it was never clear when Selena and Justin officially broke up and Hailey and Justin started to date. . However, Hailey insisted that their love lines never crossed.
She explained that there were moments where Justin and Selena “sort of [had] back and forth,” but even in those instances, Hailey insisted that Justin and Selena weren’t “in a relationship” during that time. Instead, she said, they were “closing the door” on their relationship back and forth.” I can say, period: I’ve never been with him when he was in a relationship with anyone. That’s the end of it. And I’ve been involved with him since I was 18.”
