Almost four decades have passed since then zack room made history as the quintessential yellow-eyed thug Scut Farkus in the beloved Christmas classic a christmas story🇧🇷 The award-winning actor spoke EXCLUSIVELY with hollywood life to explain why it took some time for him to reprise his role in the new A Christmas Story Christmas now on HBO Max.

“I loved what they did with the scripts. There were multiple versions, multiple options before this movie came and went. There was an idea for a TV series and a movie, but the scripts weren’t quite right. And the heart was not there. it had to be [writer] Jean shepherd Y [director] bob clark vision, extended, Zack said while promoting his partnership with Alzheimer’s Association raise awareness and raise funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

“It couldn’t be crazier and sillier. It couldn’t have just been a jingle all the time, you know? It’s not that kind of movie and if you do it, you’re disrespecting the original movie.” transformers continued the star.

“I was so excited about the script that nick schenk he wrote. he is a writer of grand turin and has done many films for Clint Eastwood🇧🇷 So, you might think that her voice would somehow not match the original Jean Shephard, but there was something incredibly honest about this movie. It still follows those steps and it was nice to see who the original characters were and how they grew up. And all of these actors embody that beautifully.”

Zack explained why he still sits, usually alone, and occasionally watches the movie. “As a director, it’s a clinic. As a writer, it’s just an education in how everyone lives in the same universe. And as someone who loves the movie, he’s just my touchstone to the people I miss: Bob Clark. He was a big, sweet man. He changed my whole life. And so, watching this privately, I’m saying ‘hello’ to Bob,” he said.

The talented actor also opened up about his association with the Alzheimer’s Association, which he joined after his father was diagnosed with the disease in 2020.

She revealed why it was “a very difficult, painful and overwhelming experience.” Zack said, “Because I was completely overwhelmed and emotionally and mentally destroyed by this process, I decided to reach out to him and share it on Twitter so other people wouldn’t feel alone. OR Alzheimer’s Association they contacted me after I tweeted about it and said, “Hey, there are a lot of services we can provide to help.” What can we do?’ And they started telling me about it. They are amazing. They have groups in local locations across the country that can provide medical advice, financial advice, legal advice, support, infrastructure, places you can go and talk to people who are going through the same thing.

Zack will be in the real Christmas story at home in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, December 17, signing autographs and taking photos with fans, and holding a special screening on the 18th.
