The couple went public with their relationship in New York City in early August of this year.
Later that month, the couple celebrated Lovato’s 30th birthday with a romantic oceanfront dinner in Santa Monica, California.
Lovato released her eighth studio album Holy F**k in August 2022.
The songwriter openly delves into her recovery from her addiction on the pop/punk album, which also contributed to Jutes – who is on his own sobriety journey himself.
He is considered the co-author of several songs: Substance, City of Angels and Happy Ending.
In recent years, Lovato has openly shared her experiences of substance abuse recovery to cope with eating disorders and bipolar disorder.
In 2018, she released the power ballad Sober to confess her relapse. Soon after, she was hospitalized after a near-fatal overdose and entered rehab.
In the cathartic album, she also opened up about the age difference with ex Wilmer Valderrama, with whom she had an on-and-off relationship from 2010 to 2016. The song titled 29 seems to highlight the toxicity of this relationship.
