Carol Vorderman enjoyed a night out with daughter Kate King on Wednesday, just before she made her final guest appearance on ITV show This Morning.
The former Countdown co-host was joined by scientist Kate, 30, as she attended a party at the Home House London private club in Marylebone.
Taking to Instagram, Cambridge-educated Carol, 61, shared a photo of herself and her lookalike daughter enjoying a drink as they mingled with guests at the central London venue.

The TV personality appeared to be making the most of her free time before returning to the ITV studios and her recurring role on This Morning, where she will be doing her daily version of the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Give Here!
Braincase Kate followed in her numerically gifted mother’s footsteps by graduating from the University of Cambridge earlier this year with a PhD in nanotechnology – the industrial exploitation of matter at the atomic, molecular and supramolecular levels.
Referring to the performance on Instagram in January, Carol wrote: “My girl katie.science. grafter Brilliant. Scientist. Strange. Amazing. She earned her PhD in nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge and couldn’t be more hungover proud.

“She can now call herself DOCTOR KATIE KING. It’s everything she’s always wanted to be since she was a little girl.
“Became a Cambridge researcher and then an astronaut… like you.
She added: “Her thesis was about the delivery of a new cancer drug. The drug is hydrophobic (does not mix with water) so it can be used in place of chemotherapy as it does not mix with blood.”

She added: “Katie’s research looks at how it can then be delivered specifically to the tumor. It uses nanotechnology and specifically gold nanoparticles.
The star continued, “Hopefully this will eventually help cancer patients avoid the all-encompassing effects of chemotherapy. She is part of a large research team working at @cambridgeuniversity and Astra Zeneca.
“So here I am as her mother. So proud. I know all the struggles she overcame and the hard work she put in to become this fine young woman.
“I don’t want this feeling to stop. She’s the best in the world… and honestly, so am I, and so is her little brother, Cameron. What a lucky mother I am. Being a single parent is not so bad.”
Kate is the eldest of Carol’s two children from her 10-year marriage to her second husband, business consultant Patrick King.
