The monsters are under the bed again.
Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, famous around the world for his roles in both Hollywood blockbusters and art films, will star in a new unusual project. The star will be featured in a horror film for a family audience.
Working titled Dust Bunny (“Dust Rabbit”), the band will tell about a little girl whose parents were eaten by monsters at the bedside. In desperation, she rushes to help a mysterious neighbor, who will embody Mikkelsen in the frame.
The producers describe the film as a “family horror” in the vein of 80s genre films such as “Gremlins”, “Critters” or “Tower of Terror”. The film will be directed by Bryan Fuller, who has already worked with Mikkelsen on the Hannibal series, according to The Hollywood reporter.
