The outfits of Queen Letizia are analyzed with a magnifying glass, especially when it comes to major events such as Hispanic Day. Next Wednesday is this year’s national holiday and Doña Letizia will be wearing her best clothes again. For now we look at the Queen’s best outfits on Columbus Day.
Everyone knows Letizia is amazing lover of red and burgundy shades, and this year he made it clear. It is about a look which we had seen on another occasion, a burgundy velvet dress with buttons down the front and a fitted silhouette. This 2020 Doña Letizia trusted Felipe Varela to celebrate Hispanic Day, one of her favorite designers. The queen paired the look with a tie crepe coat, burgundy stilettos from Lodi, to match the bag.
Once again, Felipe Varela was behind Queen Letizia’s design. It is about a two pieces consisting of a pink and purple tweed skirt and jacket, perhaps one of the outfits less noticeable.
Queen Letizia once again showed a fondness for the renowned designer with this powder pink dress. It is a shirt style, with buttons up to the waist with butterflies and a baby collar. A dotted dress and long midi that culminated in nude slingback pumps from Steven Madden and a fuchsia pink handbag from Magrit, another of her signature brands.
In 2016, Doña Letizia caused a lot of controversy with this design. It is a Felipe Varela dress that is very similar to another from Oscar de la Renta, a fact that raised many rumours. Anyway, the queen was stunning with this design on off-white with floral embroidery in black.
Queen Letizia put herself in Varela’s hands again with this dress by raffia and cotton lace in auburn color, which she paired with a matching bag and shoes, and a powder pink jacket.
In 2014 attended Columbus Day for the first time as Queen. The royal chose a Felipe Varela dress coat in bottle green tweed and matching shoes.
Last year Queen Letizia wasted elegance with this design by Maria Barragan. It’s a light blue dress that she combined with a handbag and some Magrit pumps, Bvlgari earrings and her inseparable Karen Hallam ring.
On this occasion, King Felipe’s wife wore this short sleeve dress in blue Small, which he combined with a jacket with black velvet details. Felipe Varela was again behind the look chosen by the royal for Hispanic Day.
In 2017, Queen Letizia chose this diptych by Felipe Varela. A set of jacket and skirt with a belt to highlight the figure of the royal, all in a gray shade.
Doña Letizia chose the color pink and for her chief designer Varela. A look single color consisting of a midi skirt, top and jacket mounted.
