Do not miss this interview in which it is revealed the magic that has developed between the firm and the stylist:
Julie, Charlotte, how did the collaboration come about and how was the creation process between the brand and the stylist?
Charlotte Huguet: Julie contacted me to create a wedding table around the Cotton Bird brand. Julie gave me a lot of freedom to imagine a table that would combine the sensibility of each table.
Julie Joaris: I was looking for a person with a double profile, with a sense of decoration with tableware and food and for weddings, an artistic director and wedding planner in the end! I immediately thought of Charlotte, whose work I had long appreciated and whose rural life matched my vision of the project perfectly. From the first questions about the mood boards we saw that we had the same point of view, so the rest of the creative process was very fluid.
Julie, does Charlotte represent Cotton Bird’s values?
Julia: Absolutely, because of the way she works, and because she’s kind, classy and affectionate. And for your references.
Charlotte, what features have you added to this collaboration with Cotton Bird?
Charlotte: I’ve tried to combine my world with Cotton Bird’s. At the same time, I wanted to create a sober and delicate table with a variety of tableware. An infinite table where all guests can mingle with a large fruit and vegetable piece with artichoke flowers, grapes…
Julie, Charlotte, what elements and stories do we find in this video?
Charlotte: The video explains the entire preparation process, from the wedding dress overhaul, through the preparation of the dishes, to the setting of the table.
Julia: This is the story of a day of preparation. We wanted this day to be sweet, calm and contemplative to convey the immense emotion that overwhelms us hours before the celebration ahead. It contains all the important elements of a wedding, from the dress to the cake.
Julie, what characteristics of Cotton Bird do we see in him? What kind of illustrations did you choose for the occasion?
Julia: We have chosen the model clematis. It is a new model that I especially like, for its simplicity, its delicacy and its freshness. What makes Cotton Bird unique is the multitude of table decoration proposals that match the invitation. We even offer over 30 products to combine with your wedding invitation and create unforgettable themes on the big day. All this stationery appeared in this video.
Charlotte, why did you want to highlight the wedding preparations in this project instead of showing the actual ceremony?
Charlotte: Julie suggested it to me. Preparing for a wedding is a very special moment: it is very exciting to put everything on stage, that moment when everything is yet to come, waiting for a special event.
Natural, warm, hospitable… These are qualities that we believe characterize this collaboration. How would you define it?
Charlotte: This collaboration went very smoothly between us, it was a real pleasure to work with Julie. Everything has developed very naturally.
Julia: Everything was easy and clear, I thank Charlotte for this great collaboration.
