Football idol Michael Owen has revealed why his daughter Gemma Owen always looks so serious and brooding on Love Island.
He claims he has “a playful face” when it comes to historical reenactments and can be “an eyesore” to try.
Many fans have commented on why the 19-year-old always looks “moody and sensual” on the ITV2 show.
She was particularly sad after her friend Luca Bish was taken from her and forced to team up with rival Danica Taylor.
Some viewers even commented “Why does Gemma have a face like a slapped ass?” and “Gemma really has the face of a resting bitch.”

Now dad Michael says when his daughter competes in his riding races it can be a nightmare because his only goal is to win.
So viewers will speculate that it means he rarely smiles on Love Island because he’s there to earn it.
He explained: “On match day or if it’s a big competition, getting into that ring turns into an eyesore. That’s it: you put your play face on and you can’t control it.
“I didn’t want anyone to talk to me on match day. In fact, or the day before. Stay away from me and let me do my job.
“She’s the same, she’s awful. Stay away when a big competition approaches. That’s all it means to you. Start focusing on the work ahead.”
Meanwhile, back at the mansion, the new bombshell Antigoni Buxton appears to be playing for Jay Younger as she saves him to the last in a speed dating session.
In Wednesday’s episode of Love Island, Antigoni tells Jay: “I can already say you like me.”
When he asks her to explain, she adds: “You didn’t break eye contact with me once. This tells me that you are attracted to me … “
It appears that Jay is making sure to make his choice, with Antigoni and Ekin-Su showing interest, while the hunk has revealed that he is interested in paramedic Paige.
