A secret message, silence between sisters-in-law and criticism: what Harry and Meghan’s return to England hides

The family reunion that took place at the Windsors last weekend continues to kick in England. The death of Queen Elizabeth II has led to the London Bridge operation, which has given rise to several solemn acts serving as a farewell to the sovereign, who died a few days ago at the age of 96. In this process, the return of the Queen’s grandchildren took place last Saturday, Willem Y Harryaccompanied by their respective wives, Kate Middleton Y Meghan Marklea. A historic moment given the current context in which the country lives and to be the first of the four after more than a year and a half. Together they approached some supporters who were in Windsor to show their respect and affection for the ill-fated monarch. This has led to endless articles in the ever ruthless British tabloids, which… all the ins and outs of this meeting between the Sussexes and the newly appointed Princes of Wales.

The surprise was great when the gates of Windsor Castle opened and in the background the two children of Charles II of England and Diana of Wales appeared, walking, flanked by their wives. Guillermo and Harry, dressed in strict black, as evidenced by the strict protocol by which the Firm is run, expressed their sadness at the death of their grandmother. However, a secret message had been left by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that initially went unnoticed. Meghan Markle and her husband walked with folded hands at all times, something that could be interpreted as a protocol error in this type of event. Members of royalty tend to keep a lot of shape and are characterized by being more prone to extremely formal behavior that sometimes borders on coldness. The former actress and the new king’s young son wanted to show their union to the whole world, although there are some voices in the UK confirming that what they showed was insecurity, nervousness and an obvious discomfort.

The Favorite Four, as they have been dubbed by the British press, shared tense moments, punctuated by a slight smile as they approached the crowd cheering them. The four read the written messages and the bouquets and wreaths laid outside Windsor Castle in memory of Queen Elizabeth II. Another detail that caught our attention was that: Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle barely interacted. The relationship between sisters-in-law seemed further away than ever. Too many things have happened since the Sussexes left the royal family and even Prince William threw in the towel when he shifted the situation to his brother, who is based in the United States and strange to the whole family.

The situation became particularly complicated when Prince Harry received a phone call – according to The sun– in which her father told her that “it’s not right” that Meghan Markle is traveling with Harry to Balmoral (Scotland) to say goodbye to her grandmother. However, the version officially put forth was that she had decided to stay in London out of respect for the royal family’s privacy.

Despite this distance Harry wanted to leave a few lines in memory of his grandmother: “Grandma’, although this ending made us all very sad, I am eternally grateful for everything.” She wanted to express her feelings through an open letter: “She was admired and respected by everyone.” Harry was very attached to Elizabeth: “Let’s repeat the words she spoke after the death of her husband, Prince Philip, words that can now comfort us all: ‘Life, of course, consists of final farewells, as with first encounters.’ he continues. He has not wasted the opportunity to recall some of the best moments he had with his grandmother: “For my first memories as a child, for the first moment you met my lovely wife and lovingly hugged your great-grandchildren. I am happy to lived this moment with you and many others just as special”. The controversial prince ends his letter with respect for his father’s mother and his support for the new monarch: “We will also honor my father in his new role as King Carlos III. Now we smile knowing that you and grandfather are now together and at peace.”.
