Famous cartoons sparkled with new colors.
Pixar Animation Studio is known around the world for its Cars, Toy Story, Incredibles franchises and other works. Film critic Anton Dolin discovered the hidden meanings in popular cartoons.
The journalist said that Pixar initially planned to make unique cartoons without a sequel. When it started selling well everywhere, sequels started to appear.
However, Dolin believes that all sequels are not just made for profit. According to him, none of them were ashamed and it was obvious how much soul and ingenuity had been invested in them.
The critic believes that in “Cars” the creators have managed to convey the atmosphere of the United States as a country of cars, roads and the road movie genre. Unlike the main characters of the Toy Story cartoon, cowboy Woody and astronaut Buzz Lightyear, Dolin saw the personification of the past and future of the United States. The critic also said that Pixar’s The Incredibles and Finding Nemo did a great job exploring the psychology and structure of the family.
“Through their franchises, Pixar creates true epics. The studio describes America like no other animator. This is a risky decision, as the animation has been washed away a priori for the whole world. It should not be tied to a specific country,” said the film critic on Radio Dolin’s YouTube channel.
