Chris Evans reveals that his 13-year-old son, Noah, is not allowed cell phones because they ‘scared’ him

Chris Evans explained that 13-year-old Noah couldn’t have a cell phone, and admitted they were “scary” to me.

Even the 55-year-old radio DJ doesn’t own a cell phone, as he believes it improves his mental health by reducing his anxiety and making him a better father.

Speaking to Il Sole, he said he thinks getting rid of technology makes people more “present” and that the phone is a “big time thief”.

Chris shares four children – Noah, Eli, twins Walt and Boo – nine and three years old – with his wife, Natasha Shishmanian – and none of them have a mobile device.

He explained: “Noah is the only child in his year without a phone. He turned 13 a few weeks ago so we argued, gave him a device and got him to download Whatsapp. But then something happened – there was a bump in the road – and he got out of it. You seem to have stopped drinking. You can always start over, but you can never drink what you drank.

Noah is different and therefore a better interlocutor. If you weren’t on the phone as a kid, you’re a more present kid.’

He added that children learn better from books rather than from their phones, and that he feels “happier without it.”

Last September, Chris apparently refused to have any more children with Natasha.

At the time, Virgin Radio told her colleagues: “I think Tash is very secretly preparing to become a yoga teacher.

“I guess that’s the biggest warning right now that we’re not going to have kids anymore, because obviously she won’t tell me anyway!”

The DJ also has a 34-year-old daughter, Jade, with ex-girlfriend Alison Ward.

Chris and Natasha got married in a romantic ceremony in Faro, Portugal in August 2007 and have been happily married ever since.

The broadcaster was previously married to the pop princess and became the famous 39-year-old actress Billie Piper from May 2001 to September 2004.

Billie asked Chris about his 35th birthday when he was just 18 years old.

The former flames were married in a ceremony in Las Vegas at the time.

Prior to his affair with successful producer Why We Want, Chris was married to 61-year-old television and radio personality Carol McGiffin from 1991 to 1994.
