The actress remembered her sin.
Film critic Oksana Agapova finds Gwyneth Paltrow’s words about favoritism inappropriate. The expert noted that it is better for the actress to remain silent, explaining why.
As the expert said, it’s all about the Oscar ceremony in the late 90s, where the actress received an award in the nomination for Best Actress for the film Shakespeare in Love.
“Everyone said at the time that this was the most disastrous Oscar for female roles and that the actress won because of her friendship with the producers and because of her mother’s name. If I were Gwyneth Paltrow I would be silent and not speak out on such topics,” said Agapova in an interview with PopCornNews.
The film “Shakespeare in Love” tells about the young playwright William Shakespeare, who lost his muse and all desire for writing. Everything changes when the mysterious Viola (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) is hired into his company. Inspiration returns to Shakespeare, he falls in love with an actress who plays brilliantly in his performances. But he does not know that Viola is engaged to a rich nobleman.
The film won seven Oscars in 1999. The top prize for “Best Picture” was taken from Steven Spielberg’s legendary “Saving Private Ryan”. Later, film critics noted that the academics had a “temporary cloud of reason” and that the “Shakespeare in Love” film itself was “empty”, “with unfinished details” and “a nondescript performance by the lead actress”.
