Simone Holtznagel revealed that she’s wearing a very special fashion piece this weekend at the Splendor in the Grass festival.

The model wore a pair of boots from her deceased friend, model and TV presenter Charlotte Dawson.

The 29-year-old told news.com.au that designer shoes were invaluable to her, but sadly they were buried in the mud during the rainy festival.

“These are priceless: these are Charlotte Dawson’s old Givenchy rubber boots,” she told the publication.

“He gave them to me before he died,” Simone added of the knee-high black leather shoes.

According to broadcast reports, Simone was also wearing a $1,400 leather biker jacket.

Event organizers closed all four main stages at North Byron Parklands in northern NSW on Friday.

“There’s a significant weather system on the east coast right now, and more rain could befall the country later in the day,” said the organizers of Splendor in the Grass.

“On behalf of customer safety and in consultation with all relevant emergency services, we have decided to consider only performances in key stages today and cancel.”
