The actor is not impressed by the million-dollar box office ‘Top Ghana: Maverick’.
Mickey Rourke criticized Tom Cruise as an actor. Rourke didn’t change his mind even when he was informed about the fees of the recently released movie Top Gun: Maverick.
The actor was immediately asked what he thought of the 1986 film’s sequel and Tom Cruise’s return to the lead role in the film. Rourke replied that the star of the film has been playing the same character for 35 years. Then Rourke was told that the Top Gun sequel had grossed over a billion dollars at the box office.
‘It means nothing to me! I don’t care about money or influence. And it’s not all the same for the work of Al Pacino, Chris Walken, the young Robert De Niro … These are the actors – an example for me,” Rourke said in an interview with The Independent.
Rourke also added that Tom Cruise is “out of place” in his presentation as an actor.
