But the Russians could still see the new Thor.

In Russia, they proposed to introduce parallel imports for the screening of foreign films.

As the world prepares for the upcoming premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, in Russia, due to isolation, they plan to import and show films without a license.

The idea was expressed by the representative of the president Mikhail Shvydkoi. The state representative on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio said that in this way it plans to preserve the cinema chains, which today face a shortage of films.

Director and film journalist David Shneiderov expressed the opinion in an interview with the PopCornNews portal that this plan is akin to theft.

“I believe Mikhail is calling Shvydkoy to arrogant theft. The main thing is that this idea is absolutely useless and is being put forward by a person who does not understand at all what film distribution is, “the expert believes.

David Shneiderov added that it would not be possible to screen the film: the copyright owner would simply block the DCP carrier remotely, which was transferred to the rights buyer.

“As you understand, sanctions will follow immediately. It is impossible to steal unnoticed ”, concluded the interlocutor of the portal.

Earlier, James Cameron reacted harshly to future critics of the new Avatar part – an unexpected attack from the director.
