Sir Paul McCartney ensured his historic headlining concert in Glastonbury was memorable by bringing Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen as surprise guests.
The 80-year-old became the oldest solo headliner at the Somerset festival just one day after Billie Eilish became the youngest ever at 20.

He kicked off the surprises by introducing Grohl, which marked his first live appearance since the tragic death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in March.
Paul said, “I have a little surprise for you. My friend from the west coast of the United States, Dave Grohl.
It wasn’t easy to get to the pyramid stage, Grohl revealed. He said, “Well, I started on Wednesday, then the flight was canceled, I went back to the airport on Thursday, then the flight was canceled, but I swear I’d never miss being on stage with you right now.”

The two played a medley, the highlight was an interpretation of Wings’ Band On The Run, before Paul added, “I love you Dave, thank you mate, we all love you. Ladies and gentlemen, once again, Dave Grohl “.
The hustle and bustle didn’t stop there, however, with Paul continuing, “We have another surprise for you from the east coast of the US, this is Mr. Bruce Springsteen.”

Springsteen joined Paul on stage to perform Glory Days to the delight of the Glastonbury crowd.
Previously, Paul recibió la bienvenida de un héroe at the Pyramid Stage, antes de cir: “Oh, hombre, es tan bueno estar aquí. Se suponía que íbamos a hacer esto hace tres años. I have the feeling that we will have a great time tonight ”.
