Susan Lucci, one of the most famous actresses in television history at the time, returned to the stage at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday to present the segment In Memoriam, which featured Michael Bolton in his 1982 hit “How Am I Should Have Been Living. without you”.
Speaking at the Emmy Day “Those We Loved and Lost This Year” ceremony, Lucy paid tribute to her husband and manager, Helmut Huber, who died on March 28 at the age of 84.

“My husband was greater than the life force of nature,” Lucy said in a broken voice. “Helmut was the love of my life. They say pain is the price we pay for love. Well, pain is a painful price, but I won’t give up on love for a second. “
Audience members also cried, Lucy started editing videos. You can watch her speech and the In Memoriam segment below, which ends with the classic line from TV legend Betty White, which we missed again this year.
