Music mogul and talent show judge Louis Walsh spoke about his time on the TV series Popstars: The Rivals, revealing that he doesn’t really want to face Girls Aloud.
Pop Star: judge of rivals Louis Walsh admitted he “didn’t want” Girls Aloud on his list.
The 69-year-old music mogul hosted the women’s group to practice when he appeared on the 2002 talent show, where the girls faced a group of boys.
But now he has confessed that he wasn’t that interested in leading the band because “girls don’t like each other in bands”.
speaking in the Question Time on white wine podcast, Louis said that according to him, all the girls in the groups want to be the main ones.
And, seemingly casting some shadow over Cheryl, who had previously been married to football ace Ashley Cole, said “everyone wants to date the footballer.”

“I thought I was going to have a boy band, I was convinced,” he told host Kate Thornton.
“And they gave me the girls. I didn’t want it. Girls don’t like each other in gangs, it’s very, very simple.
“Everyone wants to be the main girl,” added Louis, known for being the frontman of boy bands like Westlife and Boyzone.

“Everyone wants to go out with the footballer. Everyone wants to be the leanest. “
Luckily for Louis, Girls Aloud, composed of Cheryl, the late Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts, caused a stir.
Their debut single Sound Of The Underground climbed straight to the top of the charts and had a stellar run, with a string of big hits like Jump and No Good Advice.

Meanwhile, boy band One True Voice struggled to find success.
They released a few songs before breaking up in 2003.
And, of course, Cheryl has had great success as a solo artist.
Their first two albums reached number 1 in the UK, while their third and fourth albums also made it into the Top 10.
It also had five No. 1.
