Lil Wayne was previously arrested in December 2019 and charged with possession of firearms and ammunition.

The rapper already had a firearms conviction dating back to 2009.

He was sentenced to eight months in a New York City jail for this crime, and convicted criminals are therefore prohibited from owning firearms under federal law.

However, on his last day in office in January 2021, President Donald Trump pardoned Lil Wayne for the allegations.

Days before the November election, Lil Wayne posed a thumbs-up to Trump, praising him for ostensibly “hearing what we had to say” at the presidential endorsement.
