Netflix-Anime “Sakamoto Days” receives a film adjustment in the live action format. The film is released in two parts and the premiere is the first to be planned for the “Golden Week” in Japan in 2026. This time it is traditionally considered one of the most popular for large releases in the country.
The most important role will be played by Maguro Ren, who became famous thanks to participation in the film “My Happy Marriage”. The poster with him to the image of Tarot Sakamoto has already appeared in the official accounts of the Toho Studio in Social Networks. Fuel Juiti, who previously worked on the film adjustment of Gintama, is responsible for the direction.
The plot is based on the manga of Utah Suzuki. The main character is the former murderer who left the criminal world because of the family and now, together with his wife and child, has a small store. But the past returns when a former colleague appears on the threshold, and Sakamoto is forced to return to his former life.
Anime adjustment reached Netflix in January of this year. The first season is divided into two parts: the first began in the winter, the second – in the summer of 2025. The last series of the season was released on September 23. The Sakamoto days already have a high rating of spectators – The rating has 7.3 out of 10 at Kinopoisk.
