EastEnders’ Janine Butcher hid the truth about the horror incident after she moved Linda Carter’s body from the passenger seat and blamed her for the incident before fleeing the scene.
EastEnders fans are anticipating a blackmail plot for Janine after she confesses the truth about her horrific car accident to her daughter Scarlett.
Fans recently saw Janine crash Linda’s car into a tree and shift her lifeless body into the driver’s seat.
He then doused his body with alcohol, before wiping his fingerprints and fleeing the scene. Linda is now in an induced coma and faces life-changing brain damage.
Fans were shocked after Janine’s daughter Scarlett Butcher confronted her about Linda’s accident.
The young woman realized that her mother had something to do with Linda’s accident, forcing Janine to manipulate her to silence her.
But in tonight’s episode, Scarlett made Janine confess that she drove the car, before Janine begged her not to say anything.
Fans now predict that Scarlett will emotionally blackmail her mother on the secret, as the two already share a difficult relationship.
“The Janine I knew was not going to be emotionally blackmailed by her daughter. She lost her bite, “said one viewer.
A second added: “Scarlett understood Janine in one day. I wonder if she’s going to blackmail her, “one viewer said.
Another added, “I tell you Scarlett is probably the best cop in all of Walford. Janine is petrified from being interrogated by her daughter.
Later in the episode, Mick shares the news that Linda’s brain swelling has decreased and they hope to get her out of a coma the next day.
In a panic, Janine runs home and starts packing, telling Scarlett they have to leave before Linda wakes up and reveals the truth or she’ll be sent to jail.
Fans are speculating on the hasty decision, saying Linda may have amnesia and should stay and see what condition she is in before fleeing Walford.
“You know, Janine, there’s also a chance Linda doesn’t remember what happened before the accident. She at least she could stay to find out.
Elsewhere in the episode, Lewis is distraught when Kathy fires him from the Albert and threatens legal action, despite telling him she knew about the rape.
Ben waits for Lewis at the Arches with a crowbar, but Lewis doesn’t show up.
Ben bursts into the Albert and asks Kathy to give him Lewis’s address. When Kathy refuses, Ben accuses her of protecting Lewis.
Lewis later told Peter that it was Ben who attacked him.
