What is the series about

“The Hour of the Devil” combines the psychological thriller, detective and science fiction with time travel elements. In the center of the plot is a social worker Lucy Chambers, who wakes up every night at 3:33 of terrible visions. Her son Isaac is a closed and robbed of the boy’s emotions, and Lucy’s mother talks to empty seats.

In the first season, the heroine is drawn in a study of a series of murders, where Gideon Shepers, a mysterious person obsessed with his mission, becomes an important figure. The second season revealed his true motifs and laid Lucy for the choice: everyone risk to save his son or stop the catastrophe at the expense of his own life. The final ended with a shocking “discharge” of reality.

What to wait from 3 seasons

The plot is kept secret, but actress Jessica Rain hinted that her heroine will change more than the audience expects:

“In the third season, Lucy will follow the path that you are certainly not waiting. But at the same time she will keep love for her son-so will find a way to reach him, even if the world will resist it.”

The second season also called a “bridge” between ordinary Lucy and the one who is ready to think and behave like a gideon. Peter Kapaldi, in turn, noted that the final of the third chapter will give answers to questions that the audience has tormented from the very beginning, but warned:

“This will not be the denouement that is easy to accept.”

The authors initially stated that all the secrets would be announced exactly in the final of the third season, and the previous chapters are only parts of the puzzle. Given that Stephen Moffat is working on the project (“Doctor Who”, Sherlock), the audience will probably wait for an unpredictable conclusion.
