The artist and screenwriter called the photo “incredibly stupid and boring” and posted a photo of the almost empty imax hall in his session on social networks.
“I can say why this film has almost no repeated views. He is incredibly boring,” Lifeld wrote in social networks.
The difficult tone has not become a surprise for those who follow the relationships of Lifeld and Marvel. Last year he publicly announced a gap with the film company after he was not invited to the premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine and, according to him, they demonstrated “lack of respect” through the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Faygi.
“This was done to humiliate and set up,” he said in the podcast of Robservations.
At the same time, the “Fantastic Four: The First Steps” launched against the background of the general fatigue of the Marvel Cinema SOWE – $ 218 million in the World Box Office in the first weeks (about 120 million in the US and another 100 million abroad). The film was strongly rated by critics, the new “Superman” over Rotten Tomatoes and owns 92% on Popcornmeter.
In the second weekend, however, there was a sharp decrease in costs, so analysts reminded the recent failure of the Thunderers. For Disney and Marvel, 2025 became difficult: the company’s financial report showed that expensive blockbusters such as “Thunderbones” and the Pixar cartoon “Elio” led to losses of $ 21 million.
The next major release is “Spider-Man: A completely new day” (Spider-Man: Brand New Day), whose shooting is already going on. Perhaps Peter Parker can somewhat correct the state of affairs of Marvel in 2026.
