The new favorite is named after the role of James Bond (but the fans are afraid that he is too charming)

According to the British press, Tom Holland is seriously considered as agent 007. And although it is formally suitable for updated requirements – age up to 30 years, star status, experience in blockbusters – Fan of the franchise in confusion: in their opinion, Holland is too cute for this role.

Spectators are used to the image that Daniel Craig – hard and modest. Against the background of his band, Holland’s Eternal Young Face, known in Spider-Man, takes care of a part of the audience that they try to call them for a teenage film.

In social networks, the reaction was fast and not very enthusiastic. Here are only a part of what they write:

• “Tom Holland is an excellent actor, but he will always look like sixteen. This is as far as possible from Bond.”
• “I love Tom Holland, he can act in militants. But he can’t be a bond. He is too charming. The villains would look at him and admired.”
• “Holland in the role of James Bond is like a children’s film about James Bond. Thanks, not.”
• “He is a good guy, but I don’t see him in this role. Maybe he will surprise him, but so far he is not believed.”

According to data Daily MailJacob Elordi and Harris Dikinson appear among alternative candidates. In informal votes, they also did not cause violent enthusiasm among Bondian fans: 13% spoke about Elordi, 10% for Holland, 5% for Dikinson. The rest preferred not to choose anyone at all.

Interestingly, rumors about the casting appeared almost immediately after the news that Denis Villewev was appointed director of the new version. It was he who removed the dune and the arrival, which means that the approach will clearly not be a parody. Villewev himself has already confirmed that he “wants to keep a tradition, but wants to give a new direction.”

It is hoped that in this “new direction” Agent 007 not too much looks like a tenth class.
