At first glance it seems that we already know everything about Dumbledore – from biography to moral dilemmas.
But Reddit discusses an unexpected fan theory that makes Dumbledore a little more interesting. If you believe the authors of the discussion, the director of Hogwarts could not only be a strategist, but a real curator of a large -scale espionage network and disguised as a harmless Dreuzelbescherming – chocolate chikers.
The theory is built on the assumption that Dumbledore used his images on cards of chocolate drugs as miniature observation points. In other words, he could view the owners through them and receive information – practically no traces. Given how magical portraits in the Harry Potter world are arranged, it sounds surprisingly logical.

Arguments are also given:
- Already in the first book, Ron explains that “Dumbledore cannot be everywhere at the same time”, when the image disappears on the map – it means that it is at least “life” and is not static.
- In the “Order of the Phoenix”, Dumbledus uses directly portraits of former Hogwarts directors for espionage – she sends to the Ministry of Magic and used as channels of information.
- One of Reddit users reminded that Bill’s meaning sounds in the same book: “Dumbledore says he doesn’t care – the most important thing is that he would not be removed from the cards in chocolate strikers.”
Fans in the comments argue with Might and Main-Someone calls the theory nonsense, and someone regards it as a brilliant explanation of many peculiarities in the plot.
