The cool musical went to Disney Channel in 2006 and immediately became a sensation.

The film, where a school basketball player suddenly turns out to be a participant in a music competition, made Zak Efron like an idol of millions of teenagers. The soundtrack groove more than 3.7 million copies, became the best album of the year and laid the foundation for a whole franchise with three films and two concert trips.

But years later it turned out: in the first part, Efron himself did not play any number. All vocal parties of his hero actually sang to Sil Sil – the singer and actor, who also spent the monsters for the leading role, but did not come in the context.

He spoke about his unobtrusive work in Tiktok:

“Every actor would like to play Troy Bolton, but Zach did it perfectly. He was the right choice. But I was still in the Tour – so everyone got what he earned.”

He added later:

“The film may not have become as successful as I played the leading role.”

Efron himself admitted that he recorded all the songs for the first part, but his vocals were simply cut away.

“They didn’t explain to me why. It just happened,” he said in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel. “This brought me into a strange position.”

He also emphasized that he was happy: they eventually received a recognition for his contribution after “the musical is all about everything.”

And this was not the only difficult moment. Dancing did not immediately give Efron: “I didn’t know how to dance in those years. I was a normal child off the street,” he remembered in the air of BBC Radio 1.

After the success of the first film, Efron demanded that his own voice sounded in the second part.

“It was fundamentally important to me. I had to insist that my tracks enter the movie,” he said. So “Betting on the” and “Scream” – already appeared with the real vocale of Efron.
