In 2024, the film “Titanic. Deamed Dream” was released on the scenes, and although this is not a continuation in the literal sense, it is actually a story about what happened next – after the Titanic went under water.
Director Cody Hartman recorded rare material: an investigation into the disaster and the first weeks thereafter. This starts the film of how the ship “Carpathy”, which selected survivors, arrives in New York. The ladder has journalists, Senator William Olden Smith and the expectation of answers. Smith quickly organizes hearings, belt crew and passengers and arranges interrogations.
Parallel to him, the investigation is conducted by the reporter Alain Ricer, who is played by Fiona Culimt. She greets in the documents, asks those who are not noticed by the official committees and tries the fact that the companies are clearly trying to hide. Money, insurance payments, reputations are involved in the case – and none of the top wants to remain extreme.
The game of Kotter Smith in this role can be quietly brought forward on the Oscar – the actor is experienced, plays in Spielberg and in the “X -Men”, and here he has fully laid out. Fiona Curifier – an actress of the “Curse of Chucky” – complements him perfectly. The rest of the actors are also at the top, especially given the modest budget.
Unfortunately, the film has failed with all the plus points. Few people noticed him. The “Unsinkable Dream” was recorded by the Independent Studio PMI films, distributed – Hawk Hill Pictures. No promotion, no powerful PR, no even understandable rent. In Russia the photo was released under the name “Titanic. Packed dream”, but here it was almost unnoticed – at the Kinopoisk she has a modest 5.8 point. In fact, the project was originally doomed. If the film was called “Titanic 2” and an old rose would appear in it – they would certainly watch it. And so – just a good photo that nobody saw.
